Bargain Shopping for the College Student

College students know just how expensive an education is. Many times, loans are used to pay for the said education and the college student finds themselves struggling to pay for everything else that goes along with college, like books. Books are ridiculously expensive for college, but they are needed. Of course, when you head off to school, you will want to have some new clothes as well, but you may think these new clothes are far out of your reach since you have to spend a majority of your money on textbooks. The truth is that there are many ways that you can still afford to get some great clothes and even designer pieces at a really great price. There are stores out there that offer hot clothes without the hot price tag that would turn you away.  That’s right. There are many stores out there offering designer and name brand items at a fraction of the cost they would be in department stores. It may sound like these stores are a true God-send and to you, they just may be!
The first store a fashionista like yourself may feel at home in is TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx is an amazing store that sells designer items like you would find in Nordstrom or even Bloomingdales’ for a fraction of the price. You may even find clothes from some of your favorite chain stores like Abercrombie and Fitch or Hollister on the racks in TJ Maxx. If you have ever seen a pair of jeans in Abercrombie that you absolutely loved but you walked away without because they were more than you wanted to spend, there is a good chance that you can find them on a rack in TJ Maxx for a fraction of the cost. You may also find that designer handbag that you were in love with for a lot less at TJ Maxx as well. Another store that is very similar to TJ Maxx is Marshall’s.
Another store that you may want to check out is Forever 21. Forever 21 is like heaven for a fashionista on a budget. You can find so many adorable outfits in this store and accessories to go with the outfits. For example, you can pick up basic t-shirts and camisoles in Forever 21 for about $3.00 a piece. This is a lot less than you would wind up spending in another store. Jeans in Forever 21 are never more than $20 a pair and the accessories are so reasonably priced that you can literally have accessories for every outfit. You will be able to pick up shoes, belts and even purses in Forever 21 as well. Wet Seal is another store that is very similar to Forever 21 and has similar items for low prices. These are two stores you will definitely want to check out if you want to look trendy without spending an arm and a leg to do so.
Finally, you could always check out your local JC Penney store for great fashion at low prices. JC Penny usually runs really great sales as well. They sell everything you need to complete your look and have clothes for people of every age and size. You can pick up a really cute pair of skinny jeans for about $15 in JC Penney and a cute shirt to match. You will have an entire outfit for about $30, which is fairly decent. JC Penney also sells cute shoes and accessories like the previously mentioned stores. If you want to buy clothes in a department store but don’t want to pay the prices Nordstrom or other high end department stores set, check out JC Penney.

There are many great stores out there that you can shop, especially if you are a college student who only has limited funds. These stores offer many of the items you would find in some of your favorite stores without the ridiculous price tag. Just because you are getting an education does not mean that you have to sacrifice looking good. Check out a few stores that you may have never been to before, like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Forever 21 or even JC Penney. You will find some great items to add to your closet and you will not come out with an empty wallet. You will get the most for your money and feel good about your fabulous finds. Never overlook the clearance racks and never go without a hot outfit again. Give bargain shopping a try and you will be one stylish and smart college student!
